General Information

What's the „Language Barrier Quest“?

There is a town somewhere in the Deep Blue region, called Spring Town.
Many people go there to manage doing several things, such as fighting against
special monsters, buying career & fortune lots, extracting gems with the use
of blacksmith pliers etc.



The thing is: If you reach the town for the first time (By ship or by ticket),
you won't be able to understand anyone – because all people use strange letters to talk
with you – no chance to read them. So there are no options for you in this town for now.
This is especially annoying for people who want to train and level there – they cannot
set a spawn point in spring town. That means they will respawn somewhere else and
have to sail there again (Which costs a lot of time) or have to buy another ticket
(One ticket is about 100k G).


This is what the strange signs look like.

To use the options in this town mentioned before, you have to pass a quest called
„Language Barrier Quest“. Now the name makes sense, huh? XD If you pass the quest
successfully, you are not only able to talk with the people and use the options given in that
town, you will get also special rewards.

These are:


Shooting star (+12 HP Recovery Bonus)

Alloy Pickaxe

With this special axe you are able to mine meteorites.
From those you can get lots of valuable items. (Read GUIDE for more)
550.000 EXP
10.000 Gold
50.000 Life-EXP



Getting to Spring Town the 1st time

So, first of all – how do we start?

You need to accept the quest in Spring Town from the teleporter Chun Li. (3326, 2511)



First problem: How to get to Spring Town.
There are a few possibilities to get there – generally by sailing or by teleportation ->
using a ticket. Some general hints: It's hard and kind of perilous to go there with a n00b ship,
nice would be a lvl 40 – 45 requirement ship, best is probably eagle. (Eagle ships have a good
defense which makes it harder to be killed).
If you are a voyager – you're the lucky one. If you get in danger, you can just prevent yourself
from being attacked with algae entanglement. But other classes need to own a good ship so that
they won't die immediatly by getting attacked. ><

Possibilities to get there:

1) Sailing to spring town

This way to get there is more for the adventuresome guys.
The only problem on your way will be the monsters, which have pretty hard damage.
That means you have to be able to react quickly. The different ways of sailing to
spring island have numbers on the picture underneath, so you can identify them easily
with the descriptions.




1. Way: (White line)
As you can see, you have to sail from Deep Blue / Icicle Harbour directly diagonally
to spring town. Seems to be easy and fast. The thing is: This is the most dangerous way of
sailing there. You will be attacked by many pirate warships and of course by mobs of
shadow mermaids – those mermaids are surrounding whole spring island.
So you need to hurry up docking the ship. But try to avoid the red spots as well as it's
possible – of course you won't be able to avoid all monsters, then:
Just hurry and sail away as fast as you can. XD

2. Way: (Pink line)
Also this time you start from Deep Blue / Icicle Harbour, but then sail straight to the right,
and then sail downstairs. This is, obviously, slower, but less dangerous. You won't meet as many
mobs as before, of course there will be some monsters, just continue sailing then.
This is not a big deal.

3. Way: (Green line)
This is recommended if your ship is docked in Shaitan or somewhere in Magical Ocean.
As you can see on the map(s), this way is much more complicated, but the easiest way to get
there if your ship isn't docked in Icicle. Just sail east, east, east...
Anytime you will be in Deep Blue, now you have to be careful. If you see continent,
it's probably summer island, which can be dangerous. On this island, there are many lvl. 80 / 70
monsters – of course they are on the land, not on the ocean, but they can attack you quickly.
Pirates lvl. 70 attacked my ship with a damage of 2000, so be careful. So if you see
continent, just forbear from summer island and move upstairs. Then you will see Spring
Island, this is the right one. Of course you won't be able to avoid the mobs of shadow
mermaids since you need to sail till the right end of this island, but if you react quickly it
shouldn't be a problem.


On this map you can see that those three islands are pretty close to each other,
so be careful and don't sail too near to autumn or summer island.

The quest by itself

Now you should be in Spring Town somehow.
As I said before, go to the teleporter and accept the quest given to you.
This quest tells you to go to Granny Beldi in Argent City (2277,2769).



Now you need to go to another person, this time to Waitress Barbara in Icicle (1310, 530).



Be careful and don't be surprised: The waitress deducts 100.000 G for giving you a special
recipe (just an item), so please don't wonder why you lost money. That's normal!
Now double-click on the paper she gave you, and you will get the hardest quest –
namely collecting all the stuff on the ocean.


The ingredients to collect are these:

30 Rotten fish bones:

Obtainable from „Scavenger Fish Bones“, Lvl. 61, Magical Ocean (3828, 3114)

30 Fascia fish bones:

Obtainable from „Spiny Fish Bones“, Lvl. 59, Deep Blue (370, 2317)

30 Thick fish bones:

Obtainable from „Hungry Fish Bones“, Lvl. 60, Deep Blue (428, 2957)
Pay attention: Those fishes drop two items, both called „Thick Fish Bone“.
Watch out and collect the right one, as seen on the picture.

10 Shining sea jelly skins:

Obtainable from „Swift Cyclonic Sea Jelly“, Lvl. 63, Magical Ocean (3750, 1275)

So you see: You need to kill lots of monsters to get the stuff.
Of course voyagers have advantages here. I also say it's the only way to get the items without
wasting too much time and ship utilities. Ok, you could also try to get the ingredients with a class
except voyagers, but at least by getting the thick fish bones you'll get stuck. They are the hardest,
that's why it would be best to collect those bones first – you know: Business before pleasure.
(Okay – collecting the other stuff is not really a pleasure, but if you suceeded in collecting the
thick fish bones, you are able to do everything xDD
To get those bones is so hard because there are many other monsters around one single fish.
One single fish is already pretty hard, but those dolphins, polliwogs, sharks etc. around are also
extremely agressive. Which means: You will be usually killed soon (Except always fleeing or with
help of a voyager / another character with a high level ship).

If you are in Deep Blue to get the thick fish bones, I would also collect the fascia fish bones,
since you are there now. This is kind of a pleasure because those fishes aren't mobs –
you can concentrate on killing one single fishy xD If you are done with collecting them,
you could restock in Salva Haven. (194, 1715) ->That's near to the place^^

Now you need to go to Magical Ocean, collecting those jelly skins and the rotten fish bones.
Just go to the coordinates above. This shouldn't be difficult, just avoid mermaids on your way,
because they can attack really hard. But usually you are so shocked that you flee immedatly xD
First kill the swift cyclonic sea jellies. They need very much time to drop the stuff you need.
I don't understand why, but MANY people say so. So don't be desperate.
If the coordinates are right and the names of the jellies are the same as here, you're right.
It can take a long time, don't worry.

Now the easiest one: Decaying fish bones. Need to kill them to get rotten fish bones.
At Pyrex haven (3081, 2135) and Ethio haven (3194, 3507) you can restock.

You could also just relax and buy the whole set. They aren't sold quite often
(Well, depends on server, but this is just my experience) but the price for the whole set ranges
from 800k to 1,5 million G. This is kinda expensive, but if you just don't have a good ship and
you simply hate sailing, or you don't know someone to help you, or whatever xD, then buy the set.
Make sure you buy the necessary bones for that quests, there are cruel scammers outside that try
to sell you bones that look pretty much the same but they aren't. So please look at the names.

If you have the whole set then, go to Master Terra at Icespire haven. (2664, 654)



Give him the set and hooray – you got all the rewards and you can use all options in spring town
and make a respawn point there from now on! Yay!
